ABOUT THE MUSIC:
STUDENT COMPOSED REP
The ensemble’s instramental music is composed by several Yale student composers. Originally only composed by Stephen Feigenbaum and Ellis Ludwig-Leone, SIC InC now plays music by member, Nathan Prillaman, Jourdan Urbach, and Georgia Lill, as well as several other composers who are not members. The result is a diverse blend of new Classical music.
MAKING MUSIC
While the musicians mostly rehearse the pieces with each other, musicians and composers regularly come together to discuss the vision and direction of a piece. Once a piece has been rehearsed and tweaked, musicians perform their pieces in front of the other members and receive additional feedback. By the time any piece reaches the stage, it has passed through several tiers of review, and it is guaranteed to sound great.
