Jessica Oddie, 20, is from Boulder, Colorado. Prior to coming to Yale, Jessica studied violin performance at the Juilliard School. She was the winner of the 2009 Yale Friends of Music Recital Competition, the 2006 Fort Collins National Young Artist Competition, 2007 Denver Young Artists Concerto Competition, 2007 Colorado ASTA Competition, and 2007 Colorado Symphony Orchestra’s Jeff Bradley Young Musicians award. She has been a soloist with orchestras such as Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Rocky Mountain Youth Orchestra, Conservatory Orchestra of Music in the Mountains, Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra, Denver Young Artists Orchestra, and Classic Knights Orchestra. Jessica has also served as concertmaster for the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, Colorado All-State Orchestra, and the Western States Honor Orchestra.
